Terms of Use

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation, and "you" includes that organisation. You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration details, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity under your account. One organisation is intended to operate under one account, adding colleagues as team members.

2. The Service

Screenza provides AI-assisted résumé screening, candidate ranking, pipeline management, reporting and related recruitment tools, billed via a credit system. We may add, change, or discontinue features. The Service is provided on a software-as-a-service basis; we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use it for your internal recruitment purposes.

3. Your content & candidate data

You retain all rights to the job descriptions, résumés, candidate information and other content you submit ("Customer Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process and transmit Customer Content solely to provide the Service to you. You are the data controller/fiduciary for candidate data and warrant that you have all necessary rights, consents and lawful bases to upload it and to have it processed by us and our sub-processors, and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party right.

4. AI-assisted screening — human oversight required

Screening scores, matches, rankings and summaries are generated with the assistance of automated systems and artificial intelligence and are provided to support your judgement, not to replace it. They may contain errors or omissions. You must not use the Service to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on a candidate; a qualified human must review and make final hiring decisions. You are solely responsible for your hiring decisions and for complying with all applicable employment, anti-discrimination and data-protection laws.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully or for any purpose other than genuine recruitment;
• upload data you are not authorised to share, or use the Service to unlawfully discriminate;
• attempt to breach security, access other tenants' data, reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service;
• resell or provide the Service to third parties except your own team members; or
• upload malware or infringing, unlawful or harmful content.

6. Credits, billing & payments

Screening and certain features consume credits. Credit packs and prices are shown in-app and may change; changes apply to future purchases. Where payments are approved offline, credits are granted after we verify your payment. Unless required by law or expressly stated, purchased credits are non-refundable and non-transferable, and free/trial credits carry no cash value. You are responsible for applicable taxes. We may suspend features if your balance is insufficient.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Screenza and its licensors and is protected by law. Except for the limited rights expressly granted here, we reserve all rights. Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.

8. Confidentiality

Each party may access the other's confidential information. Each party will protect the other's confidential information with reasonable care and use it only to perform under these Terms, except where disclosure is required by law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI output, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your requirements. Free-tier infrastructure may sleep, and some uploaded files may not persist.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Screenza will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill or business, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold harmless Screenza from claims, damages and costs arising out of your Customer Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right (including candidate data-protection rights).

12. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or create risk or legal exposure. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete your data subject to our retention practices and legal obligations.

13. Third-party services

The Service may integrate third-party services (such as AI providers, payment gateways, and sign-in providers). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When changes are material, we will update the version and effective date and, where appropriate, ask you to re-accept. Your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any right to approach data-protection authorities, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Mumbai, India for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
